sknob.fr 26 Beta 1
If you occasionally read this blog, thank you, and you probably know that I released a major redesign of my music site about a year ago.
So TL;DR, what I’ve done, is align the rest of sknob.fr with the design of sknob.fr/music.
I kept the previous simple and flashy home page, but I added a new about page, which is a practical hub for all things sknob, as it points to my music, music news, collaborative projects, art, videos, Mastodon account and this blog.
- It’s light, with no javascript
- And it has a blogroll \o/
I also revamped the art pages. They should work fine without javascript, but if you have it enabled, you get a nice swipable lightbox, and you can link to individual images.
So why is this in Beta you might ask?
Well because in reality, I still have 2 separate code bases:
- One for sknob.fr/music (and scoop)
- One for everything else
Which is a bit of a PITA.
I also still need to add basic accessibility tagging to the new pages, and alt text to the dozens (hundreds?) of drawings, a daunting task which I’ll tackle a bit at a time.
And at some point in the future, I’ll probably integrate everything properly under one site/codebase, but this was all I could muster for now (because I sweat over every fucking pixel little detail...)
Anyway, probably TMI, but I hope you visit and enjoy the new version of the site, and especially the new about page!
