Kamic Retribution

Susanoo: freedom, chaos, individualism, the outburst of the unexpected, the breaking of borders, conventions.
Amaterasu: order, structure, rules, regularity. The restraints, the discipline. The protocols.

Two conflicting visions. Two diverging actions. Two separated planes of existence. Here, I tried to reconcile the two opposites into a music composition using their names as major seeds. Surprisingly, the Susanoo melody (at the tails of the track) was more structured, while Amaterasu's (the central part, 40' to 1:40') resulted more “free” to my ears. Karmic retribution perhaps? ^_^

The first picture combines two photos I took at Louvain-la-Neuve — The rising sun and shadows of winter trees from a painting by Belgian artist Paul Delvaux, which can be seen at Louvain-la-Neuve's railway station (and in the third picture.)
