Unknow

Hi Everyone,

this is to announce the release of my album, “Unknow”. It includes all the tracks that I composed throughout the last few months, which was a very precious time for me. It marks the end of another stage of me — another “phaze,” as Frank would call it. It includes tracks that I composed, in the proper sense of that word; and it also comprises algorithmic compositions — what I call “my little Grundgestalts.” My primary objective is to get better at this and to develop myself a little further as a composer; for this, I'd need your help. I'd love to hear from you with your remarks, advice, suggestions, criticism...

...And if you happen to like my work, please consider to follow me on my bandcamp and “like” my FB page.

From the bottom of my heart, my thanks to you for your trust and continued support.

Musically yours, Eidon.

P.S. I'd like to share with you how I came up with the cover of “Unknow”. This can be done in four moves:

1) This is the original picture I used — a drawing by comics artist Magnus. Here a middle aged man, Unknow, is watching his image reflected by a mirror. He is asking himself: “Hey, Unknown, how are you doing?” (in the original, “Ehilà Unknow... come ti va?”).

2) A first processing is shown here: beside the first picture, an upside-down copy is shown. The effect reminds me of certain cards in the game of poker. Two “eyes” seem to appear on the top and the bottom of the image.

3) Four “eyes of Horus” are overlapped in correspondence to the four “eyes” emerged in the second picture. The right eyes and the left eyes are specular.

4) Final picture: a Gimp filter is applied to the previous picture. I think the effect is mysterious, obscure...

...”Unknow'n”...
